When I was growing up, "clean" and "explicit" were the norm--my mom didn't let us buy explicit songs. Rap was the biggest genre at that time (still is one of the biggest). I'm not sure how I feel about censoring music for kids. For many things like this, I err on the side of knowing curse words and sex but using both responsibly!
