This article reminded me a lot of what Kristin Wilson wrote in this.
I had two “real” jobs after I graduated, and I found that they were not for me. This is not anything against a particular company or anything. It’s just that the long commutes and low pay for something I didn’t care about wasn’t what I wanted in the long run.
An underrated point in your piece is that of rest. Yes, you not only have more time to make your art but you also have more time to rest your mind and be less stressed. That’s important when making art!
