Nor accurately portray
My loathe of the selfie
Please, God help me.

The selfie is worse
Than raw bratwurst
Shoved in a cone
Of an expired scone

The selfie reflects
It truly projects
Our disgusting consumerism
Me, myself, ’n’ I’s the only “ism.”

The selfie connects
With our current lex…
…icon of curation
Push notification

My phone’s abuzz
A bucket of scuzz
Likes are more addictin’
Than the shit I’m sippin’.

This rap’s hard hittin’
Not as hard as Twitter’s killin’
Our attention span’s depleted
Like an endangered species.

The selfie is a mirror
Without the reflection
Too much in fear
To make a connection.
