I’ve been battling this question myself for a long time now. Do I like a specific band, song, or album because of the actual music? Because of the moment I first listened to it and how it made me feel in the moment? Or both?

My answer so far is that it’s a combination of all three and it’s a case-by-case basis. If I were to listen to a few 80s pop songs initially today, I may or may not like them. But because my mom made us listen to them in the car so much, I still like them today!
