I totally feel you on being in a place for 15 years and not exploring it until now.

When I visited South Florida from college, I took a few trips to Miami just to explore because, growing up in the suburbs, our family never wanted to deal with the painful traffic.

Fast forward to COVID, I drove to South Beach almost every week/end. I got to see more of Miami than I ever had in my life. And while most of it was from the car, it was still a fulfilling experience.
