Curmudgeon! JK, LOL.

I think the issue is that the entire music industry is being disrupted, from the way we make music (programs more than instruments) to the way we distribute it (playlists more than albums). It's tough for me bc I love the art of an album and following the journey of a musician but it gets hard when there are so many musicians to follow and so much music out there. It's overwhelming. Gone are the days of people anticipating an album and jamming it for months.

Hopefully my generation and younger will have a deep appreciation for whatever their listening to just like your generation. All we can do is wait and see.
